The nursery sample

A report and staff briefing as a nursery receives them, written to the early years foundation stage and Ofsted's early years toolkit, built from public data on 7 November 2026. The setting's name and the names of streets and places are changed; every figure is real.

How the sample was made

  • It describes the area around the setting and the authority it sits in. It never rates the setting, its staff or its children, and counts below three are printed as "fewer than 3".
  • It is fixed at the date it was made. A report you order is built on the day from the latest published figures.
  • The place it is drawn from is not named. Its name, its postcode and the names of streets, parks and stops are replaced with plain labels such as "Road A"; every count, rate and comparison is as printed for that place.
