Privacy notice
Safeguarding Context is a product of Meddalwedd. This notice says what the site collects, why, for how long, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not scrolled past.
What we collect and why
- Accounts and orders. Your email address, the schools you order for, the invoice details you give, and the record of payment. Lawful basis: contract. Sign-in is by an emailed link; no password is stored. Card details never touch this site; they are entered on the payment provider's own page.
- Server logs. The address a request came from, the page requested and the time, kept for fault finding and to stop abuse of the forms. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
What we do not do
- No non-essential cookies, so no cookie banner. The only cookies are the ones the site needs to keep a form secure or a signed-in session alive.
- No advertising, no tracking pixels, no sale or sharing of your details with anyone for marketing.
- No profiling of pupils. The site and the report describe the area around a school and never the school or its pupils.
How long we keep it
Order and payment records are kept for six years because tax law requires it. An account with no orders is deleted after twelve months without a sign-in. Server logs are kept for ninety days.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it is used, by emailing the address below. We will answer within a month. If you are not satisfied you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

The data on the pages
School facts come from the Department for Education's Get Information About Schools register under the Open Government Licence. Other datasets used in the report are named on the page or in the report with their licence and attribution. None of them contains personal data about pupils.
